Help a State Rep Campaign in Meriden This Week!
A campaign in February? Yes! Cathy Abercrombie is running for State Representative in the 83rd House District (Meriden & Berlin), a seat previously held by Jim Abrams who resigned earlier this year. The special election takes place a month from today (March 1st), which means it's crunch time.
There are phone banks running today at the law firm of Wiegan, Mahon, and Addelman (636 Broad St.) from 5:30 - 8:30. Tomorrow, (February 2nd) the hq will be set up at the Meriden Federation of Teachers (35 Pleasant St.). If you're interested in volunteering on another date, give Amanda Melpolder a call at 860.214.9734 to let her know you are interested in helping.

It's last minute, I know... but consider a trip to Hartford tomorrow in support of marriage equality. See details: http://www.lmfct.org/february7.htm.
You know the right wingers will be their working against Connecticut's gay and lesbian residents. Will you be there to stand with and for them? Stand up for equality... this is just the type of event where the Young Democrats should be.
